Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 硬件水準不錯 1.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by A Crazy Bad Experience As a business traveler, I stay far too many nights at hotels all over Asia but have never had an experience like I did at the Intercontinental in Suzhou. The check-in for my 2 night stay went smoothly, or so I thought. However, the next evening, after a full day of meetings, I returned to my room only to find that my key didn't work. When I called from the house phone, they told me I wasn't registered and to please come down to the desk. Then started a 1 hour nightmare, when I was told that I had made a mistake and was not in the right room or perhaps, not even in the right hotel. When I insisted that it was the right room and that my luggage and laptop were sitting in that room, they denied it and repeatedly asked if I wanted to check-in. Despite my protests that not only had I checked in, but I had already spent one night in the hotel and that my luggage was in the room, they suggested I had mixed up the hotels or that I was sick and needed a doctor. I finally persuaded them to let me enter the room with a manager to show them my red carry-on bag, my laptop, and my banana on top of the minibar.. And, when we entered the room, there on the ty was the initial in house message on the screen welcoming me to the hotel. What followed was a curt response to return back down to the lobby reception desk to get a new key. No apology for the time wasted trying to convince them I was in the right hotel, in the right room, on the right day. Not a good day for the Intercontinental. 16 July 2014
