Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Club Lounge at Intercon Tokyo We recently spent 10 days in Japan on a long overdue holiday. Where we could we stayed at IHG properties but unfortunately there weren't many Intercontinental hotels outside of Tokyo. We spent our last night in Japan at the Intercontinental Tokyo. The Club Lounge is on the 35th floor and has terrific views over Tokyo. The range of food and beverages is extremely good. My partner was delighted to find French champagne and dumplings - two of her favourites. The Lounge staff were courteous and very attentive. I asked if they had Japanese plum wine and one of the hostesses went down to the main bar to get me a glass. I would definitely recommend the Club Lounge at the Intercontinental Tokyo. It's well worth the cost to upgrade if you can. 25 September 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Over a Year of My life.... I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last 8 years, its in fact the only hotel in Tokyo I ever stay at, I have spent a grand total of about 15 months (on and off ) of my life at this property. The service is fantastic as you would expect. The rooms are a bit of a crapshoot, as you can have the same room on a different floor and the room config will be completely different. For the most part the rooms are updated to current tastes, but every once and a while you get an older room, that seems a bit out of place at a hotel like this. The staff has had a fair amount of attrition as of late, though employee tenure has been relatively good, there are a lot of faces that have moved on in the last 9-12 months. Pros: Central location to just about anything in Tokyo. 10 min to Tokyo station, Limousine bus stops here often. Fantastic accommodating staff. Cons: the various room configs from floor to floor is a bit odd, 3##1 is different then 2##1 etc etc. This place has VERY slow internet access, both wired and wireless. Its painful when you know that this country has insanely fast internet speeds, but here you feel like you are on dial up at times. They SERIOUSLY need to update their internet speeds its really sad actually. Points earned are 1 for 1, there is rarely if ever any multiplier applied. 23 September 2014
